Through the inner descent + the unraveling of what once felt fixed, I am still becoming.
About.Hi, I’m Holly, the @embodiedlover, if you will. And here is my story.
So there is no better time to find yourself than after a shitty breakup, during a pandemic quarantine, at the beginning of a year of what was supposed to be the makeup sex to 2019. What can I say? The universe works in mysterious ways. Or, maybe, this is my mid-life crisis, I mean mid-life awakening… Kind of like that day my mother came home + said, “ I just bought a restaurant + you guys are going to work for me!”
The truth is, I’ve been talking about this for years, but I had blocks, trauma + I lacked clarity. Basically, every excuse not to pursue my happiness—the epitome of procrastination. I’m not smart enough. I’m not educated enough. I don’t like to write. I don’t have the money, the time, the experience. Bla bla bla. It was like it was at the tip of my tongue but I couldn’t explain what I was feeling or how to start the next chapter of my story. What I needed was a kick in the ass, so between my taste in men + Mother Nature’s cry for help, I found my calling.
Me.
Not long ago, I received a message from an old friend that said, “You’ve always been a very brave + confident person—you always come across very poised.”
Why thank you [batting my eyelashes]?
But wait… what? Where in the actual hell did that come from + more importantly, why did I need to hear it right now?
Of course, it brought tears to my eyes. I’m glad it looks like I’ve had my shit together, but damn—the struggle has been real.
In that moment, I dropped into my body + realized the struggle is part of who I am. Only recently did I begin to understand what resilience actually means + even more recently, to feel proud of how I became me.
In my early 20s, a therapist once told me I had a deep capacity to see the good in people. While I’ve learned to draw boundaries, my story still carries a thread of compassion, bravery, courage +yes, a little badassery.
That’s what lives inside. And everything that has unfolded outside of me would not have been possible without it.
Who am I.
I’m a human shaped by lived experience, deep curiosity + a commitment to understanding what it means to be well. My path has been anything but linear—woven through education, community work, healing practices + my own experiences of loss, resilience + becoming. My work sits at the intersection of the body, the psyche + everyday life. It is informed by training in health + well-being, depth psychology, energy work + coaching, but more importantly, by a deep belief that healing + transformation don’t happen through insight alone. They happen through lived, embodied experience.
Over time, I’ve been drawn to practices that support both practical change + deeper inner work—from movement + meditation to grief education + nervous system regulation. These experiences have shaped an approach that is grounded, integrative + rooted in compassion, curiosity + connection.
At the core of everything I offer is a simple intention: to create space for people to reconnect with themselves, build resilience + live in a way that feels more aligned, meaningful + fully their own.
Becoming.
I love to learn + will go to the depths of a good conversation. If you’re looking for a minister to perform a shotgun pandemic wedding, I’m your guy. But be warned, the last wedding I had a voice in I recited Tears for Fears... I will say it a million times, if I could put Brené Brown, Simon Sinek + MC McDonald in my pocket, I would take them everywhere with me. I've been in love with David Bowie since The Labyrinth. If you’ve seen it, you know why. I love dad jokes, dirty jokes + I am often inappropriate + awkward. But as I explore my identity, I can see where that is changing. It might have started on my 40th birthday when my mom said, “You know, you’re getting really serious...” Sometimes I swear because I’ve read the “research.” I am obsessed with Vikings + Historical Fiction. My cat, Miss Kitty, lived to be 20 years old + she had been my ride or die since she was four. My newer additions are Ms. Claudette Monet [6] + Aloysius O’Kelly [4]. They are Purrisian + have a thing for cafés, art + healing spaces. I’ve employed them as my Reikitties. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling + being physically active. After the 2016 election, I started boxing, but I found a good balance with my yoga practice. Oh, I have also played recreational hockey with the Trash Pandas, an adult league through Hockey North America [this was also a mid-life crisis + happy to report I still have all of my teeth, unlike that time on the Bourbon Trail, circa 2016]. And this year, I’m learning to sail [circle back to the obsession with Vikings].
"We may become strangers to those who thought they knew us, but at least we are no longer strangers to ourselves."— James Hollis, The Middle Passage
I struggle with managing multiple autoimmune disorders + finding how + where my place is in this world without compromising who I am or where I live or making sacrifices because of my health. I have experienced a tremendous amount of grief. I know I’m not alone. I have a passion for integrating various modalities into the healing process, such as a good ol’-fashioned dance party or a soothing playlist. As of today, my top saboteurs are the Stickler, Hyper-Achiever + Controller. My top strengths are a love of learning, perspective, creativity, appreciation of beauty + leadership. I will never score high in zest. I used to be an ENTJ, however, I believe that has changed since the pandemic. I would consider myself an omnivert. For now.
I Believe.
I believe no one should have to abandon their healing due to lack of access, funding, or social stigma.
I believe you don’t have to abandon yourself to experience purpose, love + happiness + that you are your own best advocate, capable of discerning what is right for you.
I believe community is essential in bridging these gaps, creating spaces where individuals feel supported, connected + able to truly thrive.
My Vision.
My vision is to establish a purposeful living environment that enhances the holistic well-being of individuals through the use of health coaching, energy work, touch + movement. By adopting these practices effectively, we aspire to empower our community to embrace a daily routine of living life to the fullest potential, fostering not only well-being but also happiness, authentic connection + a sense of belonging.
My Why.
This labor of love is coming from a place of years of research, tears, therapy sessions + coming to peace with who I am + the gifts I can share. It comes from a place of human connection, grace + vulnerability. Sitting with the uncomfortable. This is for those who don’t think they know where to begin. For those who question + want to learn. This is for self-healers, those looking for their smile + those who want to make sense of their story through meaning, kindness + compassion. For those who want to explore with an open mind as well as helping others by leaning in this community.
I can provide some testimonials on how it is to work with me, but one of my favorites will always be from life, turning darkness into light; “[You’re] a badass with a good heart, soft but strong. Unapologetic and honest… the type of woman you go to war besides.”
- R.H. Sin
My why comes from looking at this little girl with loving kindness + forgiveness while saying to her, “You are lovable, bold + beautiful. You are brave, curious, funny + sensitive. And you are a badass.”
I know you’re curious about that picture.
Thank you—
for embodying love, creating space for growth + enjoying this journey alongside me.
I am looking forward to getting to know you, being real + as Brene’ Brown says, “feeling our fucking feelings.”
Gracefully,
Holly
